Community Based Employment

GOAL

To provide services that are designed to give persons with disabilities the opportunity to obtain competitive employment with businesses in the community.

Program Activities

Through our program we are looking at the individual to develop, acquire, and maintain employment in the community at an integrated work site.

The Supported Employment staff will coordinate orientation and placement plan meetings.  Staff will develop a Placement Plan for each individual.  Progress on this plan will be monitored by reviewing goals and objectives, and writing monthly progress reports.  We will coordinate information needed for any other referral sources.

Entry and Re-Entry Criteria:

• Applicant must have the desire to be employed in the community.
• Applicant has been sponsored for payment of fees or able to pay independently.
• Applicant must be free from behaviors which endanger themselves or others.
• Applicant must be able to provide independent or semi-independent self cares.
• Applicant must be willing to adhere to standards established by employers.
